The Beginning

Welcome to Graves Rave where we can share information and suggestions about dealing with this disease.
I have recently been diagnosed with Graves and am trying too get "balanced". Thus far it isn't going to well. I am tired and hyper, bounce from being civil to people to deep depression and then outright hostility. I am having a very hard time working and am at my best staying at home and knitting.
At any moment I can go from sobbing to screaming. I'm not at all happy with this.
My doctor and I keep changing the medication - but it just doen't seem to be getting any better.
The best thing that I have done was to have a full body, deep tissue massage. It worked out some of the knots and it just felt darn good!!! I'll do that again in two weeks.
Any suggestions, hints, ideas or thoughts?

  1. Hi Graves Rave..so sorry to hear of your Grave's diagnosis. I'll be happy to help and advise where I can, and if nothng else I'm happy to provide you with someone to rave and rage at when needed, someone who knows what you're going through {{{hugs}}}
    When were you diagnosed, and what meds are you on?
    How frequently is your doc changing your meds?
    Massage is great, and a deep tissue massage sounds bliss...anything that can make us feel better, if only for a while, and allow us to forget the thyroid hell is always good!
